ARCHITECTURE AND BUSINESS

Calza House is a full renovation of a small apartment in Ciutat Vella, conceived around a clear idea: to create a single multifunctional space where each element serves more than one purpose and where uses can shift naturally throughout the day.
To achieve this, all interior partitions were removed except for the bathroom, opting for an open-plan layout organized around a large built-in perimeter unit that structures the space and houses the hidden program.

This single structural gesture allows the kitchen, bedroom, and living room to appear or disappear as needed, turning the home into a versatile and dynamic environment. Warm materials—natural wood and dark-toned slate—wrap the floors, walls, and ceilings, creating visual continuity, a welcoming character, and a serene atmosphere. Adjustable indirect lighting completes this domestic experience, creating soft and intimate scenes.
